I am located in Haslett, Michigan so you can look for upcoming workshops in the Lansing and Jackson areas! Other options may include scheduling an event in your area (even your home) if the interest is there.

I’m passionate about mindful eating because I see the damage society and culturally accepted thought processes inflict daily. I do believe we have negative scripts running through our heads too constantly on poor self-image and weight management and I’d like to be a part of the solution as women/men learn to reshape their thoughts. We accept the love we think we deserve, so if we can’t love ourselves where are we?

I've recently had a significant personal lifestyle / health change, which has been a topic of great interest and influence to those around me, placing me in a unique position to further model and teach changed behaviors. I relocated to a new area so everything was unfamiliar to me – new house, new job, meeting new people and trying to connect socially were all stressors and I found myself getting into some unhealthy habits. Once I decided to modify my own behaviors, I dropped 30 pounds. I've always been a healthy eater but struggled with portions and emotional overeating.

My experience includes 20 years in the healthcare industry working clinically with patients who have had health issues related to poor diet / exercise and self-care: bone densitometry, joint imaging, gastrointestinal imaging, and therapeutic treatments such as angioplasty. My current career position deals with improving patient outcomes / prevention and community health and I have developed a strong passion for helping people develop the skills for self-care in this area.
