About Erica:

I have been a licensed facilitator for the Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating program since 2010, and a mindful eating coach since 2012. I am passionate about this work - I find it so fulfilling to work with people to develop a better relationship to food and live happier, healthier, and more mindful lives.

Part of my joy in doing this is that it means I’m able to use my own experience to help others. I found my own way to mindful eating starting in 2000, when I had a goal of becoming healthier and having greater energy and physical ability. Over two and a half years, as I paid more attention to my food choices – particularly why I ate, and how much – I lost 130 pounds. I’ve maintained that now for over ten years, but even better, I stopped obsessing about food and restricting, and I became comfortable with my body.

What I love about working with the AIH program is that it allows me to provide others with the support I wasn’t able to find for myself. My website has some client testimonials for reference.

This is also why I published a memoir about my experiences with food and weight - "Winning the Losing Battle: A True Story of Weight Loss and Transformation". The book is available on my website as well as on Amazon.com.

As a mindful eating coach, I provide ongoing support and guidance, advising and working with you as you set goals. I will listen carefully and help you remember how to trust your own inner wisdom rather than getting too caught up in the conflicting nutrition theories and diets you may have heard. Doing so allows us to work together to determine what sustainable changes work for you to improve your health and happiness using the principles of the Am I Hungry? Mindful Eating program.
