About Laurie:
I have been a Licensed Psychologist for the last 10 years and have devoted my private practice to helping adults identify and break free from self destructive emotional and behavioral patterns. My primary expertise is teaching patients the concept of mindfulness to increase awareness and compassion and reduce judging and harmful behaviors. I work primarily with patients with Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Eating Disorders, Obesity, and patients who have had weight loss surgery. I am particularly passionate about mindfulness and have been studying the concept of mindfulness for the last 15 years. I practice mindful meditation regularly and this has had a profoundly positive impact on my personal and professional life. Mindfulness helps me cope with the daily stresses and frustrations in my own life. It also allows me to be a more compassionate therapist, wife and mother. The Am I Hungry program is a perfect fit for any individual who is looking to learn specific tools to begin a lifelong journey of finding balance in eating, weight management, physical health, emotional well being and intellectual and spiritual growth. |

An 8 week introductory course for new participants to go over the basics of the Am I Hungry? program. You do not need to be a patient of the St. Elizabeth Weight Management Program to attend. We will meet for 8 consecutive Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 PM. The cost is $195.00 for the 8 week workshop and all course materials are included. Please call 859-212-4625 to register.
